During his education at the Radboud University Nijmegen, Martijn Smit successfully participated in (international) moot court competitions. Such as Dutch-Belgium Moot Court (Nederlands-Vlaamse Pleitcompetitie) and the National Moot Court (Nationale snelpleitwedstrijden).

 

2007-2008 Martijn participated the Radboud Honours Academy and attended the courses: Just and Unjust wars (philosophy); The Plastic Brain (medical science); Our Genetic Identity (philosophy); Elemental particles (physics).

 

He graduated from the University of Nijmegen in 2010 and 2011, majoring in Corporate and Tax law. Martijn started his career as a Tax Lawyer (2009) where he practiced Corporate Tax Law. In 2011 he was admitted to the Bar in the Netherlands (Arnhem), where he practiced debt recovery, transactions and contract law.  

 

In 2012 Martijn has joined Conway & Partners as a junior associate. His practice entails (international) arbitration, litigation and commercial contracting.
